About Us

EPIC Community Development Center, Incorporated (EPIC) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. It was formed in September 2018 to be a major catalyst and resource for low income families and youth to become self-sustaining and future leaders.

EPIC Family Advocacy Center provides intensive case management and follow-up services to families who have been reported to the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services for any type of neglect and/or abuse of the children. Our Family Services Advocates collaborate with a child welfare/protection specialist, point of service agency and the family to coordinate the process of program delivery and completion of services for families to remain together.

EPIC hopes that by serving as a catalyst for communities to come together and strengthen their neighborhoods and families that more children will be able to stay in their homes and neighborhoods.

EPIC realizes we need partnerships with communities and other systems to achieve strong outcomes for children and families. Through our community partnership strategies, a wide net will be cast in reaching out to existing and potential partners. We will reestablish and build new relationships with a wide range of community organizations in neighborhoods where referrals rates to the child welfare system may be high and collaborating with members of those communities to create an environment that supports families.
